The Story Behind the Precilience Logo
Crafted with purpose, the Precilience logo goes beyond visual design, representing the project's commitment to increasing climate resilience in agriculture and forestry across the European boreal region.
Inspiration
The logo is inspired by the very people behind the Precilience project, reflecting its collective vision and values. Via a collaborative process, ideas were gathered from Precilience partners on the project’s goals, themes, scientific foundations, core values, and the flora and fauna critical to the boreal region.

Conceptualisation
By merging the visual components of the gathered ideas, the initial letter “P” from “Precilience” appeared to be an integral part of the tree. From there, the concept then evolved into the Precilience logo we see today.
Development: Elements
Designed with overlapping shapes, the Precilience logo icon reflects multiple elements of the project. A seedling, a magnifying glass, a P for the project name and a tree. The connecting circles resemble a Venn diagram, indicating the project's overlapping focus on agriculture and forestry, as well as the research that underpins it.

Development: Colours
The set of four logo colours symbolise the vibrant and distinctive aurora borealis, which is emblematic of the natural beauty of the boreal region. The logo represents agriculture, forestry, and the precise science in the project while also representing the region.
The final logo is distinctive and colourful, and will help the project to be recognisable as it progresses.
